The staff of MGA is proud to announce the delivery of the first shipment of the fourth generation FMD's to the Christus Health Care Group in Jasper, Texas. These units are to be installed in the RACS-System (Regional Alternate Care Site), which is owned by RAC-R of the State of Texas. The FMD's will furnish all of the medical gas requirements (medical oxygen, medical air and medical vacuum (suction) ) for the RACS-System.

Our "FMD" or "Free standing Medical Gas Dispenser" is an integral part of the RACS-System. Our patent pending was issued March 28, 2008. This unit was designed to fill the needs for oxygen and suction (and medical air) to victims of disasters, natural or man-made, when the normal sources of these services have been interrupted for an extended period.

All that is needed to deliver low flows of oxygen, medical air, and vacuum (suction) is an 115 volt, 20 amp source of alternating current. Which is usually one of the first services provided to a temporary facility providing emergency health care services to the victims of the disaster.

With the FMD, a power source (generator), a hospital bed, and nursing and physician staff, you have the starting point for basic services to care for the sick and injured.

The oxygen is provided from an enclosed separator/generator/concentrator, the vacuum from an enclosed suction pump, and the medical air from an enclosed air compressor. All components are mounted in the cabinet, wired, and connected by tubing to the outlets on the front panel. The controls on the front panel are "on/off" switches, gauge, flow meter, and display panel.

The FMD is available in a handsome and durable case which will serve both the hospital as well as the outside rough terrain requirements of all emergency response professionals.

The RACS-System is a fully self-contained portable hospital for emergency response deployment that has over 45 beds and fully equipped medical suites for patient care.
The RACS-System can be fully deployed, once on site, in less than four hours with a crew of ten persons. For more information on these unique and innovative systems please call Ed or Francis at 1-800-464-9261.

Additionally, MGA is working closely with the US Army to initiate the research and development of a fully deployable medical gas generating system for battlefield use, (DMOVAGS). We expect this project to start as soon as late 2009, early 2010.

MGA is also in talks with a major general contractor and builder of hospitals to incorporate the acquisition of the  life saving FMD's into the emergency response plans of major hospital construction projects as well as hospital renovations.

Other items that will soon be available from Medical Gas Alternatives include a "flat wall" medical gas fixture for extending hospital piped gases to additional areas where additional services are required.

All units are and will be, manufactured in the U.S. of A.

Thank you for viewing our web site. We pray that you share the joy we feel in our being blessed to be able to bring these life saving machines to the world.
